The rose gardens

Roses are the first shrubs to have been planted in Le Clos de Chanchore.

Today, there are more than four hundred varieties in two rose gardens, one dedicated to old roses, the second to modern roses.

The specificity of this modern rose garden is in Laurent’s decision to dedicate each border to a breeder; thus he considers that each breeder has his own style, his own conception of “the" rose. Adam, Austin, Delbard, Dorieux, Eve, Guillot, Harkness, Kordes, Massard, Meilland, Orard, Poulsen, all are present in Le Clos de Chanchore.

Some roses are also planted in mixed borders.

The great variety of flowers, shapes, colours and scents will enchant both eyes and noses!
