In the region
The area around the garden of Le Clos de Chanchore is very attractive.
Situated on the edge of the Pays d’Auge, Le Clos de Chanchore is not far from Deauville, the famous town of the American Film Festival; from Honfleur, the village of Impressionism; and from the WW II D-Day Landing Beaches.
There are several gardens not too far from Le Clos de Chanchore.
Among them, three should be especially noted:·
The village of Cormeilles offers attractive half-timbered houses and a church which is unique in France … In the canton you can discover the Norman flora and fauna along 110 kms of paths.
This area is also the region of Calvados: you can visit, in Cormeilles, the biggest distillery in the world still making Calvados, but also, all around, traditional local producers.
